Product Strategist & Design Lead |
Building watches with technical depth and strategic purpose.

"To me, a watch is more than just the sum of its parts. It is a continuous balance between aesthetics, technical feasibility, and economic sense."

I don’t just design individual timepieces; I develop collections that work—for the wearer as much as for the production line. In my current role at Sternglas, I manage the entire product lifecycle. This means I’m not just behind a drawing board; I act as the bridge between departments. I translate marketing concepts into technical blueprints and coordinate with international suppliers, always keeping a sharp eye on the details that matter for long-term quality and after-sales service.

What sets me apart from a traditional designer is my background. After my design degree, I didn’t just want to know what a watch looked like. I wanted to understand how it "ticks." That’s why I completed a watchmaking apprenticeship in Pforzheim. That time at the workbench is my greatest asset today. I speak the language of engineers and I know exactly what is technically possible and what isn't.

My work is deeply rooted in my academic research into the world of horology. My Bachelor’s thesis allowed me to dive deep into craftsmanship and historical design, while my Master’s focused on the psychology of collecting. Why do we form an emotional bond with a mechanical object? This insight helps me develop products that don't just follow trends but create lasting value for both the brand and the owner.

In my view, a design is only successful if it protects the core of the brand, ensures high quality, and proves its worth in a competitive market.

I believe that exceptional watches are more than functional tools. They are strategically designed experiences. My mission is to lead the creation of timepieces that resonate emotionally, perform technically, and deliver sustainable value within a competitive global market.
